This notice explains how The Wealth Plot handles information when you use our free investment calculator, browse the website, or subscribe to occasional email updates.

Who is responsible for your information?

Information we collect and why

Calculator inputs: The calculator runs in your browser. We do not intentionally transmit or store the figures you enter into the calculator on our server. You do not need an account to use it.

Newsletter: If you subscribe, we collect your email address, subscription status and relevant subscription records. MailerLite may also process technical information such as form interactions, IP address, confirmation and email engagement data. We use this information to send occasional updates about our videos, calculators and tools, and to manage subscriptions.

Website operation: Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical connection data such as IP addresses and request information as part of operating and protecting the website. The MailerLite embedded form loads code from MailerLite domains; these services may set or access browser storage subject to their configuration.

Our lawful bases

We rely on your consent to send optional email marketing. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. For basic website operation and security, we may rely on our legitimate interests in running a safe, functional site, where applicable.

Who receives data?

MailerLite: Provides newsletter signup, subscriber management and email delivery. See MailerLite's privacy policy.

Cloudflare: Hosts and helps secure the website. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We do not sell subscribers' email addresses. We currently do not offer financial-account connectivity or user profiles.

International processing

Our service providers may process personal data in countries outside the UK. Where this happens, applicable international transfer safeguards should be used. For details of the relevant locations and safeguards, consult the service providers' data processing terms or contact us.

How long do we retain data?

We retain subscriber information while you remain subscribed, and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed, subject to limited records we may need to retain to honour unsubscribes and legal requirements. Hosting and provider logs are retained according to the providers' applicable policies and our settings.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time. Contact us using the email above to make a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and similar technologies

The investment calculator itself does not require advertising cookies or tracking scripts. The MailerLite form loads third-party scripts and may use cookies or similar technologies. Before launch, review MailerLite's tracking settings and assess whether a consent mechanism is needed for any non-essential technologies. If analytics or advertising is added later, we will update this notice and implement any necessary consent controls.
